I am saddened to read this news.  I don't know much about him, but have compassion for him and his family.  My hope is that with more celebrities coming forward with their diagnosis it will decrease the stigma that others feel.

I heard.  I first remember him from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom many years ago.  What a fun person to watch interact with wildlife!

I hope that he and his family chose to come forward with the news of his dx and didn't have it leaked unexpectedly.

I agree that more celebrities or other known individuals are open about their diagnosis whenever possible.

There are some others, like Glenn Campbell, who made their dx public news.

Any dementia news is unhappy news, and I hope Jack Hanna and all of us can live our best lives while we live.
