    A good story, Ed!  As a baseball widow (DH coached for 45 years), I've heard a lot of funny stories, but never one involving a potato.  One of DH's "tricks" was the fake throw over third base by the catcher, who was really holding the ball.  The runner from third would take off for home and there stood the catcher, holding the ball, ready to tag him out.  I thought it was a tacky move, it seldom worked, but every once in awhile.......

    I miss those days; today, DH couldn't even comprehend the potato story if I told it to him.  Very sad.
