fall
Mom fell out of bed. Installed a bed rail. And she still managed fell when trying to get off bed.
I did not know how long she stuck between bed and wall. It hurts to think about it.
Things all change so fast. I can not keep up. I am fixing things after bad things happen instead of prevent it before.
Sigh.
I found this very useful! Please read because you will need it one day.

Hi Daisy, welcome to our family of caregivers! There is a lot to be learned by reading the post here. Many wise and caring people here with years of experience and also people like you and me who are just trying to find our way as caregivers. We all support and care about each other.
How old is your Mom? Why do you think she is trying to get out of bed? Is she needing the bathroom ? Can she walk on her own? Or is she just fixated on getting out of the bed? If so, medication might help, a mild sedative for bedtime use. Can you speak to her Doctor about this? My Mom has slipped out of bed twice because her feet were wrapped up in the sheets because she rolls around in bed. Hopefully others will come along who have more experience with this issue. I wish you luck!

You need to get a bed alarm so you will know when she tries to get out of the bed, and you can assist her.
