Birthday party(2)

DW is 69 We will try to have a little party today.  Just me and the daughters with her.  She has no idea who we are but I did make key lime pie for her.She looks lovely as ever.

  I recall the 20th birthday party we had for her.   Students in our coed Dorm.  She was the smartest and everyone knew it.

   Rule was "only gag gifts"  I gave her a can of Campbell's pea soup , which she did like.   The girls gave her a used heavily annotated copy of "Our Bodies Ourselves"  She had been an active participant in the "shaving cream fights" and got several cans from the guys.  We had never been out on a real date.  December of that year she said she would marry me 

It hurts....every ...single ....day

    Hope the little party is a success.  With key lime pie, it surely will be—you are good to still find a way to give your DW a little joy.

    Our journeys may all be different, but there is this commonality.  Like you, I find it hurts, every day, multiple times every day.

    Happy Birthday to your sweet wife.  If my husband was still alive today would have been his 92 Birthday. Hugs to Both You and you wife, Zetta

    It still hurts...every...single...day but the pain is less encompassing.

    I am 10 months into Stage 8, I cry everyday-missing him so much. Take pictures of her

    loveliness, especially of any smiles.
