Careblazers?

I don't remember how I got on the email list for Careblazers, but they just sent me a description of an online caregiver course for about $300. At this point I would pay almost anything to be better at this 24/7 job and not let it exaust me. But I wonder if the course would probably repeat what I've learned from several books, this message board, conversations with people who kow more than I do...etc.

Do you have experience with this organization or the course? Thanks.

I looked them up online. There are videos on Youtube, and it looked like a book. I do not think there is anything that can substitute for/be better than what you've already learned here and elsewhere. Cynically, I would expect the Careblazer advice to be full of  helpful tips such as "be sure to make time for yourself by getting up an hour earlier to go out and smell the roses". As though one hadn't been up all night already.

Sorry for the deep cynicism-- I think $300 is pretty steep....

I subscribe to the Careblazers YouTube channel and have found the weekly free videos to be worthwhile and interesting. But I've received so much wonderful help, insight and direction from other members of this board, their messages and stories, I can't imagine any resource that's better than this. The Teepa Snow videos have also been excellent resources. And talking to friends who've either been through this journey with their parents or who have worked in memory-care has been invaluable. I also received the e-mail pitch for the $300 course and will pass. Careblazers does have an archive of several hundred free videos on YouTube. I've barely made a dent in that library but ones that I've watched have been excellent:

Pre-Covid, the Alzheimer's Association offered free Savvy Caregivers course.  It might be offered virtually now.  Check with your local chapter.

Dr. Natalie (careblazers) has fantastic info. That helps me out immensely.  Subscribed to u tube channel.  Now and again she will give a "sneak peek " into the classes.  I agree Teepa is also wonderful.  Utube is definitely a friend.

I took the Savvy Caregiver course offered by Alz Association. It’s 6 weeks , a couple hours each week. I took it virtually during Covid, and learned a lot. It was free and they covered pretty much everything.
