I came upon the following link quite by accident and found it is an excellent writing on how to manage one's own anger when caring for a LO with dementia.  Worth reading:

Not so much for anger, but to de-stress quickly: (From Tam Cummings)

    Greenstone's Awesome Ice Breaker

    Take a piece of ice

Clench it in your fist (may want to stand by the sink)

Close you eyes and breathe through your nose.  (Ice will feel "burny" in your hand, taking your mind off the immediate stress and directing it toward the pain in your hand.)

At 10 breaths, or more, you should feel stress lifting.

Disclaimer: I haven't tried this yet, but I may....... who knows?
