Medicube to give away
Hi, I'm new here and will not be a member for long as my wife has already passed. She died of some form of dementia on the 15th of May, I was a long haul truck driver and was only home about 4 days a month so didn't notice anything wrong until I retired 3 years ago. She was apparently able to pull thing together while I was home so I didn't notice.
This post is about the Medicube, if you have not heard of it you can google it and I will attempt to attach a PDF of the manual here. It is a pricy piece of equipment but for me it was a godsend because about six months after I retired Jackie became unable to use the regular 3 times/day dosage box, she would either forget to take her meds or forget what day it was and take them twice, but when I tried to take over giving them to her she would fight saying I was tring to control her.
I discovered the Medicube online and as I said it was pricy but I broke down and bought it. It does a lot of things besides dispensing medications on time automaticly if you as interested please look it up or read the manual, it will need an internet connection. I am not a salesman for it but it is a good product that I found very useful, it allowed Jackie to funcition more or less independantly, as far as her meds were concerned, until two months her death. at that point she became unable to follow the directions to take her pills without me giving them to her.
If you need one of these and can't afford to buy it, please if you can don't take this one just because it's free, and live in the Omaha, NE area contact me on the connections tab (per the admin here) to arrange to pick it up. I am not able to ship it.
I can't seem to attach my file of the manual. So here is a link to it online, I'm not sure it will work either.

Hi Jd. This looks really good - I hope someone has connected with you about it. My DH died in April, so I have no need for it.
Just wanted to say how sorry I am about your wife's passing. Sounds like you've had a rough retirement so far. I hope you find yourself able to unwind a little - take care.

Please accept my sympathy on you wife's passing. If you don't get any "takers" here, Methodist hospital has a DME lending closet and might be interested.0

Thanks I'll look into that if nobody is interested.0

I have been searching for a medication dispenser, as my mom lives alone and is struggling with the systems I have set up (box with each dose laid out for the week). I think her main problem is that she doesn't know the day or time of day. Did the dispenser work well for your wife? I am amazed at your generosity to offer this device to the community... please let me know if it is still available and thank you.0
