Helpful Safety Checklist

After a week or so from you-know-where, that I posted about in the Spouse's forum we are back home and DH is almost back to baseline. That means, I'm back to my own "normal",  which means trying to stay one step ahead of Alzheimer's dementia and the twists & turns it throws our way. Today, I ran across this helpful safety checklist as I was searching for what to do that I may not have thought of, yet.

My motivation? We had a near miss with DH preparing to drink a big mug of some pretty blue liquid he had poured when I went to the restroom the other day (before the great escape and attempted carjacking and all that other drama). Since I watch him like a hawk, I got to it before it hit his lips, and through the smell test was able to identify the mystery liquid...mouthwash. =|

OK, so it might not have killed him, though some other things around here could (and even though I've put so many things up high, down low, behind, and under...he's finding them anyway). So, with all the other excitement we were navigating recently due to another silent UTI (or maybe its the same one, just never fully cleared so we are trying a new antibiotic now)...in the midst of hosting police, fire, EMTs etc, I simply did not have time to go get and install extra locks on cabinets. And now that we are semi-stabilized I also don't have the energy. Current situation: I'm just throwing stuff out. I'll clean with baking soda and vinegar for a while, but no need for all the chemicals and cleaning stuff around here for now under the circumstances.
