Buspar in place of Zoloft

My DH just returned from neurology appt.  We discussed how the 75mg  of Zoloft he has been on for 2 years doesn't help his anxiety and agitation.  They are tampering him off Zoloft and prescribing a low dose of Buspar 2x daily. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    If Zoloft hasn't helped by now, it is certainly time to try something else.  I hope the new med helps.

    Wellbutrin is the med my husband could tolerate and finds helpful in adding a little motivation. Zoloft added to his anxiety and didn't agree with him at all. It's worth trying things until you find one that works out better. Good luck!
