SS payee rep and progress

I haven't posted for a while.  I've made some incredibly good progress with my dad's situation.  He has dementia, was scammed, and I am also dealing with my stepmother who is in denial and keeps going to my dad for guidance.  I am now appointed as his payee representative for his social security.  I got his updated Medicare card in the mail today.  We are filing for emergency guardianship today also.  Stepmother has shut off all communication to my father.   Their house is locked down when I try to visit.   No phone calls.  I've started sending care packages of baked goods and treats my dad likes along with notes and my telephone number.  We (siblings and I) were able to get him to see a neurologist for a single appointment.  He refused to go to the follow-up appointments and threatened to shoot my older brother on site if he came to the house.  He was prescribed medication which my brother tried to deliver.  Dad and stepmother called the police on him.   I ordered police reports for my dad and his residence for the past 5 years.  I had filed a police report back in May when it became apparent my dad was swindled of thousands by a hacker/checking account scammer.  The credit union dragged their feet filing a police report, so I did.  Both stepmother and dad have continued to report the fraud like a new occurrence.  Dad reported it in August a few days ago and stepmother reported it in July.  I've been paying most of the bills if I notice they haven't been paid by the due dates.  I don't have access to his electricity bill or stepmother's credit card accounts of course.   It also looks like stepmother has setup a new business AT&T account, new bank accounts, and a new Costco credit card in her name at least.  I've been paying on everything else.  Dad and stepmother have control, temporarily at least, of his bank accounts, but not his main retirement brokerage account.  .  I am hoping the emergency guardianship will change that.  I have an appointment with a bank tomorrow to setup the payee representative bank account.  Does anyone have recommendations as to where?  I am in Texas.  I think I may be honored with a call once stepmother realizes the social security situation.  I've gotten cynical.  I just hope the courts (judge) can resolve this limbo situation soon.  I miss seeing my dad.  Is there a way to also check on my stepmother's mental situation?  As a spouse, would that be something the judge would address? She is paranoid and some of her behavior gives me pause as well.   She thought we hacked Door Dash to make her daughter lose her "job" and that we tried to have her citizenship revoked.  All based on scam emails that she believes are true and severely mistaken paranoia.  I had continued to push for her 38-year daughter who has lived off my dad and her mother for 12 years get a job; specifically, one with benefits where my dad wasn't subsidizing gas and other costs.  Dad already pays all her expenses.  I'd redone stepsister's resume twice to make it legible.   Unfortunately, stepsister is passive aggressive and doesn't follow through to get an actual job.  I'm not sure how we will handle that down the road.   One day at a time, Sigh
