teleCalm

Has anyone used teleCalm? What has your experience been? Pros and cons?

My situation: I'm conservator for my aunt and looking for a way to protect her. She LOVES talking on the phone - she will call people and talk for hours. But - she will talk with anyone about anything. For example, I spoke with her insurance agent a couple of days ago and he said that he gets lots and lots of calls from her - that isn't the problem. The problem is that she tells him all about her finances, bank accounts, a legal case she is involved in, her stocks, etc. The insurance agent tells her that he can't talk with her about those things, but I'm not sure that everyone else does the same.

I'm really trying to find a way to protect her - I don't mind having her call me multiple times a day - I'm just worried about how vulnerable she is so I'm looking for a way to ensure that she can call just approved people. Thoughts?

My mom is in a MC facility and we've used TeleCalm since 3/20 when they locked down the community due to COVID.  It was the best way to communicate with her on a daily basis and we've been very pleased with the service.

The smart phone app that you'd have as the "administrator" is simple to use and it allows you control who can calls in, who she can call out to, and the hours both out going or incoming calls are allowed. It also allows you to restrict repeat dialing so you to control the nunber of calls she can make to someone in a given period of time.

They recently raised their price to $55 per month but for us it's been well worth it.
