Things I am grateful for today.

#1 Mom used the toilet and was able to use the walker to get back to the bed.
#2 She seemed content and peaceful today.
#3 My sister and my dad were able to apologize to each other before the situation got out of control.
#4 I got to spend some quality time with mom today. I sat with her and made small talk that she was able to respond to.
I'm going back home Friday to access the damage to my house and yard. I am grateful the house is still standing. I miss my dogs and my friends and neighbors. I can help my neighbors by cooking for them and being a sounding board. Everyone is tired and incredibly stressed out. I hope all of you here, who may have been impacted by hurricane Ida, are safe. I wish you well and I'm praying for all of us.
Crushed, if you happen to read this, I have to share this with you! The day after I read the poem you shared, I saw a pair of the most beautiful ravens I have ever seen. Their feathers were full and healthy, black as coal. They sparkled in the sunlight. They took my breath away and I thought of you. My heart was full.

I am glad you had a good day yesterday. There are always different things that qualify as a good day right?
We are with you there on hospice with similar issues. Is he calm and peaceful? Has he eaten something? Can I even sit in the room with him without agitating him? All that happened with us too yesterday. Good day and I’m grateful.

Thinking of you, abc123. Glad you can find things to be grateful for.
I am grateful for the nighthawks that fly over the city of Duluth every August on their way to South America. I heard a great story about it on Minnesota Public Radio. Below is the link if you would like to take a listen.
Take care!
