I don’t know what to do…. My mother won’t sleep I’ve given her all of her meds +some & she is sitting on my front porch w/ my husband because she thinks I am the Antichrist…. It’s 3:30am and I just want to scream!!!! I put her on hospice a week ago & for a couple of days she was good, slept at night was awake during the day and was even able to finish tasks witch she has not been able to do for some time, but the last couple of nights she has turned mean, violent & will not sleep!!!

Talk to hospice, ask any medication changes of any kind, check for UTI, constipation, dehydration. Also, sometimes you get bad days after good ones. Just try to get thru the night whatever works. Best wishes0

Talk to your hospice RN case manager, make sure he/she understands how bad it has gotten. The goal now is comfort and this is not comfortable for any of you. The nurse needs to be making adjustments to her medications to better control the agitation and delusions. But in addition, you should call hospice when one of these crises occurs, even at 3:30 in the morning. Their services are 24/7, there will be a triage nurse working to talk to you on the phone, and an overnight nurse can come to the home if needed to try and settle her down. You don't have to handle this alone. Please ask your RN case manager for more direction re: nighttime incidents.0
