End of summer decline?

We are in NY & although prior to summer , mom was not doing well, it seemed like the vitamin D , sunshine, flowers , etc turned her around . It’s only been a week, but weather is changing , she’s not outside as much & her daily phone calls from family have declined from every day . I’m seeing a noticeable difference in her. Anyone ever experience this ?

The shorter hours of daylight could be causing confusion and sundowning earlier in the day. Maybe it makes sense to put on a jacket and take advantage of late morning sun.

Schmail, I also have noticed a decline with a seasonal change and I believe fall is the worse for my husband.  We are 6 years into the journey and I first noticed it 3 years ago.  If you google 'alzheimer's decline with change of seasons' you will see a lot of information.  This fall has been the worse decline but that may be because he is much further along in the disease.  Blessings
