Interesting. There have been so many things like this over the years, where there's exciting research or a treatment gaining traction that gets everyone excited only to fall flat. But one of these days something is going to work and it's going to change everything. Who knows if it's this one. I have hope!

Stuck in the middle

There's plenty of anecdotal evidence that AD and other neurological disorders can be triggered by brain trauma.  If the actual mechanism can be identified, we might find treatment, or maybe treatment that could be administered at the time of the trauma so the long-term illness doesn't happen.  Any increase of our understanding of the process is a step forward.
