I use Natures Miracle Urine destroyer from petco. It smells really good and does the trick on floors etc. Haven’t used it in the wash but I think you can .0

I'm having same problem with daddy's room. Is Nature's Miracle an air freshener like a spray?0
-
If there is carpet or upholstery involved try Oxi Clean spray or Natures Miracle spray.0

Natures Miracle is a liquid that comes in a bottle or sprayer. It cuts the enzyme in urine.0

I have a friend who swears by the Clorox one.
I never found Nature's Miracle to live up to the hype, but I was up against an aging cat which is a whole 'nother animal.

Natures Miracle can be used in the wash. We used it when our elderly cat was a problem. Sometimes I thought it smelled like urine itself.
I use bleach in my moms wash always. Seems to help.
The smells involved are just another issue to deal amongst the many many more. Sorry for your troubles.

Simple Solution works pretty well. Nature's Miracle isn't bad. It was reformulated years ago and hasn't been as effective but it still works. Resolve also sells a urine odor remover that works well.I bought a small blacklight flashlight for about $10 from Amazon that will reveal urine stains on the floor, carpet and upholstery in the dark. That's proved helpful.I've seen a few online recommendations that I've tried to good effect. One thing that's worked for me is to soak the item in baking soda and water. Then rinse and soak in vinegar. Then wash. Suggestions for soaking times vary widely, but I think that if you soak something in baking soda for a few hours, then rinse and soak in vinegar for a spell you'll be good.I recently tried a variation of this technique on bathroom-style flooring. I rubbed a paste of baking soda and water into tile and grout that smelled of urine. I let it sit for about 20 minutes, then I scrubbed the floor. I then poured vinegar over the tile and grout and let that sit for about 20 minutes. Then I scrubbed and washed again. Voila! Fresh-smelling floor!

By the way there are "Pet Odor Exterminator Candles(tm)" that are sold by veterinarians. The maker claims they are an "Enzyme Formulated Candle" that removes odors while burning, but I think they're essentially a very heavily scented candle. I've seen them sold on Chewy and Amazon. Here is the web site for the maker: https://www.petodorsolution.com/ The scents are very nice but heavy. Specialty Pet Products sells a whole line of odor-reducing products for fabrics, etc.0

You say that this smell is a relatively recent problem- Is it possible that the urine odor is stronger than it was? Mild dehydration can cause that, possibly other things as well. He could also be urinating where he should not, or putting wet clothing back in drawers or in the closet.0

Hello, I also recommend Odoban. It can be purchased in membership stores like Sam's but also in Home Depot or Lowes. You can buy a gallon container and mix it. You can spray surfaces as well as pour into laundry. I LOVE it and it's not expensive.0

Daddy has been peeing in his room for quite a while. I would mop and clean the bed covers almost daily but I focused on the bathroom mostly because that was where the biggest mess was.
When daddy was in the hospital it was decided he would be released to home hospice. He needed a hospital bed so I decided I would throughly clean his room since I had to have his king size bed removed. I had everything removed from his room. That's when I realized that the odor was coming from under the dresser.
After reading about the Nature's Miracle I bought a bottle and, after throughly cleaning his floors several times I poured some of the product into water and mopped the entire room, bathroom and closet. I gave it a couple of days and did it again. Fortunately we had some cooler temperatures move in so I was able to open windows and, even though the smell was strong, it was bearable. It's been a week and I can still smell it but the urine smell is much less noticeable.
I would not recommend using this product as a mopping agent if anyone is sleeping or staying in the room. The odor, even diluted with water, is very potent. Give it a few days for the odor to dissipate.

I found that daddy had put a wet diaper in his underwear drawer. He would take them off at night when I was trying to make him use them. He also was taking his underwear out of the drawer and putting them in other drawers in his room. Also had stuffed a lot in the overhead cabinet in the bathroom. I still find humor in that!0

Mom puts toilet tissue up her sleeve. When I pull them out it's like a magician's trick. They just keep coming and coming. They do put things in the funniest places. This is all very sad but I find seeing humor in little things helps too.0

When my dad became incontinent, we used the bed pads as well as the adult diapers. But the room and bedding soon got that urine odor despite keeping everything as clean as possible. My sister bought some kind of solid odor absorber (will have to ask what brand it was) and I started using Lysol Laundry Sanitizer on the bedding and clothing. It helped a lot. It wasn't perfect, but it did make a noticeable difference.0
