Well, sort of! A former coworker/friend called Monday and invited me to tonight’s game. My sister-in-law is going to come over and stay with DW for the afternoon/evening so I can get out. Go Sox!

Me too, Joe, SOOOOO jealous!!!  Have a wonderful time!  Maybe with you there they will win tonight....had to turn it off in the top of the 9th last night, right before the blowout.  Couldn't bear to watch it.  OMG, I can smell the brats from Kenmore Square right now.

One more funny comment:  watching with my partner has been a hoot.  She's a Texan, of course, but kept forgetting that Houston was playing and keeps asking me who the teams are.  Then it was a constant string of negative comments about all the spitting, the groin clutching, the haircuts, and most of all:  "this is boring"!!!  I sent her to bed.

Televised baseball was better before they started doing closeups.  Radio was better yet.  Baseball is not nearly so exciting as Harry Carey made it sound on the radio.  (Yes, I am an old guy)

Joe and M1, sorry for the outcome on the game. It'll be really tough now going to Houston. But like Yogi said, "The game's not over till the game's over".
