filing for guardianship and getting bonded

Been a little while, but we've (my siblings and I) officially filed for guardianship for my father.  He and stepmother should get served today or tomorrow. Official emergency hearing date is November 15th.  Dad was assigned an attorney ad lidem.  On the upside, my dad has stopped complaining that I am interfering and started saying I'm not paying his bills.  I am paying as many bills as I can, but stepmother has started putting household bills in her name to take away my access to it even with my DPOA on the initial accounts.  I'm so frustrated with this whole back and forth situation.    Anyone have any idea what to expect?  Our CELA attorney said right now the hearings are averaging 30 mins so not a lot of time to prove anything.  I think I'd just throw out 4 points:  scammed of $ thousands, bill chaos, inconsistent/non-existent medical care, exploitation by stepdaughter enabled by stepmother.

See ya'll on the flipside,

Mikela

Fasten your seat belts--it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Siblings-in-law got the family irrevocable trust amended while DH was in a coma on life support, interfering with his inheritance rights.

Cannot amend an irrevocable trust, but, hey that didn't stop them---one lawyer did it anyway for a price.

Talk about kicking a man when he is down.So here we are.

Not an experience for the faint of heart---we are now approaching year #10 (ten)!
