,Mom gets up at night and falls - help

My mother gets up in the middle in the night and has fallen several times.  Any suggestions short of me sleeping in her room and keep watch.  Which is where I am going next.

Talk to her doctor about something so she will sleep through the night. Are you HCP?

I'm kind of new to this and I don't see HCP in the commonly used abbreviations.  I have to get her to a doctor first.  I think she has calmed down enough to transport her.  Up until now it has been like fighting a wild tiger.  When I get her there I will certainly bring that up.

Health care proxy. Can u make medical decisions for her.

It sounds like she could use a geriatric psychiatrist but you may need to get a referral through the PCP. What kind of doctor do you have an appointment with? Does she have a diagnosis?

Beth would a bed alarm be too disruptive? That’s what a hospital would use. I’m sure you can find other threads on this topic and examples online

During my brief stay with my mother after my father’s death, I borrowed a video baby monitor. I don’t know if this would be a good long term solution, but just throwing out that idea.
