What an amazing day looks like now

This was my best day in months.

Started with a clean wipe, already a good start. I got my wife into the shower, first time in 8 days.  I got her to put on pants, first time in 2 weeks. We went out together to do stuff, not since the last time I got pants on her.  We shopped. She was upbeat and fun...even funny!  We got home and unloaded groceries, did animal chores, and went back out to get her nails done, long overdue.  Got home, she ate her dinner without telling me 'I don't eat that' (!) and then snoozed in front of the TV for a bit until bed time.  She is now fast asleep, and we made it all the way through without her telling me she didn't live here. Just a perfect 10.

This is what now qualifies as a gift from the heavens.

I have no idea why I lucked out today, but I'm taking the win.

That sounds like a fantastic day! Going out is an accomplishment. Since my husband started Seroquel a couple of weeks ago, life has been better around here too. At first, the delusions disappeared but now DH thinks we live in the town where he grew up. I read that memory works backwards. Short-term goes first. Now my husband is in 1971. I used to feel like I was living in Groundhog Day. Now it feels more like Benjamin Button.
