Just like a shut down my web sites I am shutting down the information I share here
I can not continue to share 3rd party information that I feel would help you all. I have access to the best folks in and always hot off the press. When I thought it would be helpful I shared it with you . But I am really getting tired of being the one that has to defend things here. If someone wants to step up to receive them from me directly and they share it that is fine but I am no longer going to post those things. I have to many balls in the air and I can not become distracted to defend stupid things. That takes away from bring great change around the world.

We all share information and comment on information.
I'm an academic so I suppose I don't understand your point. The question is always "what is the source"
Sometimes you have personal knowledge of an issue.
Sometimes you are passing on what you got from someone else
What we don't usually recognize is unsourced informationThat is when you start asking questions
I've done this all my career
Tomlinson by Rudyard KiplingAnd Tomlinson took up the tale and spoke of his good in life. "O this I have read in a book," he said, "and that was told to me, "And this I have thought that another man thought of a Prince in Muscovy."
O this I have felt, and this I have guessed, and this I heard men say, "And this they wrote that another man wrote of a carl in Norroway."
"Nay, this I ha' heard," quo' Tomlinson, "and this was noised abroad, "And this I ha' got from a Belgian book on the word of a dead French lord."

Although an academic lens has value not everything is best viewed through it.
Michael's work has taken him into the world of "dementia" larger than most of us experience but the organizations he is associated with are easily found and respected and his connections are solid. His lens is different because of that. I myself feel lucky that he has introduced me to this larger world.
I personally know how difficult it is to change lenses but isn't it a part of validation? Doesn't it make life fuller?
Michael....do not stop sharing!

II can not believe I am saying this but I will continue longer to do this. I have received so many emails, and people reaching out to me over this that I can not let down. I have never given up on things because of other's and you folks have reminded me of my values. My hope was always to get you the best information that could hopefully help someone. It also had to be timely as so many of these sites fail to do that including this one. I attended many of the same meetings an they never share the information. That is what drove me to start sharing it here. And yes I have a car at at most places AA does and I bet they hate I have become so powerful as person without being an organization or company. I have shocked them all. So I will share the report with you on the 10th. Thanks so much for all of your support.0

Michael, I am VERY glad to see that you will continue sharing information here.
It is so easy for one to just skip the post, if they don't want the info or do not want to engage. But others should not have to miss the valuable ideas and resources you bring to this forum.
On a different note, my DH and I had a really difficult time in the ER one day a couple of weeks ago. 14 hours later, I just had him discharged and we went home to make the best of it with (yes...it was ridiculous and he still did not get treated for the primary issue that took us there). I was reminded that you did some work recently to assist with emergency room protocols or something like that. Can you please provide an update on that work, at your next opportunity? I think I will share it with the community hospital that gave us such a hard time recently (would not allow me to be with my Stage 6c AD loved one for more than 2 hours after arrival. Unacceptable. And it went downhill from there.)
Thank you for all that you do, and for sharing it with others here for our consideration.

The committe had meet I think in September and many recommendations were voted upon. I think a report should be out soon with what recommendations that should look at and study them and see if they work. I had a great opportunity to work alongside a great advocate for caregivers and fantastic doctors who really believe in wanting to change the course and make it better for those with demand and the care partners. They really did not undersatand things but they do now and its great.
On another not I am seeing so much great things happening all over the world. I do believe we will have away to slow this down soon. I also think COVID had a major set back for us.
