Just got the dementia diagnosis

DH was diagnosed with dementia this week. Went from mild memory loss in April to moderate to severe this week. He seems content, but sleeps most of the time. Gets up to eat then back to bed. Needs to be reminded to complete personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and putting on clean close. Doesn't talk much. I am so sad that his downward progression is so fast.

    Welcome to the forum Sarai.  You will find a lot of good caregiving tips and advice here.  You might also look up Teepa Snow's videos, and Dr. Natalie's Careblazers--both good sources.  Sorry you are on this journey but this is a good support source.

    Do you have your legal documents in order?  Will you need Medicaid?  If so, prepare now.
