Mom Passed On Tuesday Night.

This will be short, simply because I don't know what to say, but I've gotten a good deal of support from these forums even when I wasn't regularly posting, and it feels right to give notice.

She passed late Tuesday afternoon/early evening. She was 62 years old. It was peaceful, with me and my step-dad at her side, holding her hands.

I am both eerily okay and not okay at all. The funeral won't be until Dec. 3/4. Unusual as that is, between COVID, Thanksgiving, and the general cost and difficulty of travel, we wanted to make sure that friends and family who are out of state would have as much of an opportunity to be there as possible...so I have a few days to just sit with this new reality and grieve before I dive back into full logistics mode.

This has been both a crazy long journey and a much too short one-- simply 7 years since diagnosis.

My heart hurts, but she is at peace, and that's all that matters.

I am sorry for the loss of your Mother, but you are so right she is now at peace. Now it is time for you to get some rest and you also be at peace. Hugs to You.
