Open enrollment - change prescription plan

I need a little reassurance.

Scenario:  I got my mom’s online account back active with her Medicare part D provider (prescription coverage). . As you know, my parents moved from one state to another October  2019.  I have never changed the plan in regards to that  I did send them the new address in late 2019.  The plan has continued to pay her prescriptions in her now current state.  It is however a plan for her previous state - their 2022 Plan  summary shows that state  on the front page.  I think it’s probably  time I  select one of that company’s plans geared toward this state.  I selected  the shop plans option to verify that the pharmacy would be covered. It is, the plan is even called the same name (premier)  with just a different plan number suffix. I did not press the enroll button.,

My question:  is it really just as easy as pressing the enroll button and  completing whatever the requested information is?  Will the process really go that smoothly and she will get a new card in the mail and be good to go?   Neither my spouse or I are 65 yet.  This is new to me.   My spouse and I have retiree health coverage through my former employer.  That was an easy change when I retired. Changing my moms coverage makes me nervous.
