You are a very good Santa . . . . . your wife will enjoy the taste and that is a win.

    I love brownies.   Sigh.

By the way; after seeing your turkey pies, I came across a recipe I got from Williams-Sonoma for chicken pot pies from scratch that have cream cheese pastry.  Fresh mushrooms included in with the chicken and carrots, etc.  They were really good pies, but a major amount of work for a family.  Made them once and that was that.

    Brownies . . . yum!

I love Crackle Bars . . . one thin layer of baked chocolate cake made with dark cocoa from scratch and easy;  when hot out of the oven add a layer of mini marshmallows on top of the hot cake so they melt; then on top of that, another good amount layer made of melted chocolate chips mixed with nuts and rice krispies.  SO good  and cannot tell there are rice krispies in the bars; just nice and softly crunchy.  At Christmas, I put a cut red cherry on top of each bar when they're cut when the last layer is still just a tiny bit soft.  Refrigerate so they set; the kids loved them.  And so many other kinds of Christmas cookies . . . . geeze, I think I just gained five pounds looking at the brownies and talking about the Crackle Bars.

Hmmmm.....Christmas brownies.....maybe some crushed candy cane.....

I will  just use a box of Gheridilli and substitute coffee for part of the liquid.

These are for DW she barely tolerated that I drank coffee.  Fortunately my late Mother in law loved my coffee.
One trick if you want to use liquid coffee mix it with condensed milk to make the right volume.  (that assumes your brownies use milk )
My brownies have no  milk or other liquid. Eggs melted butter bakers chocolate , flour and sugar.

It is only 1/4 cup of coffee ( in place of the water) for the whole recipe. Coffee is a phantom ingredient in a lot of food...Steak and shake chile, spaghetti sauce, pot roast are a few.

I taught food additive safety  as a Professor in home economics .
I am familiar with what is put in some processed food.
    Also what is in coffee
DW was a trained pathologist who said she could smell the putrescine and cadaverine in coffee

High concentrations of putrescine and cadaverine are not desired as they can affect acceptability in a negative way.  Coffee: Production, Quality and Chemistry Editor: Adriana Farah

Putrescine is an organic compound with the formula (CH2)4(NH2)2. It is a colorless solid that melts near room temperature. It is classified as a diamine.[3] Together with cadaverine it largely responsible for the foul odor of putrefying flesh, but also contribute to other unpleasant odors.

I don't know if she was correct but she was having none of it.

I wonder, do holiday brownies help with holiday blues? I volunteer to test the theory.

I have heard that people who drink coffee have more sex. That's because we stay awake later.
