These tornadoes were devastating for a lot of people. Hopefully all of our members are OK, and they were not too impacted by them.

The Amazon warehouse is about 70 miles southwest of us.  Our local area lost power last night due to snapped wires and lots and lots of poles damaged. and won’t get it back until this afternoon.  Luckily we have a whole house generator.

So - reported safe as they say

Yes; thank you Quilting for letting us know how you are. The aerial photos of the damage and loss is beyond dreadful and defies description.  So many looking for Loved Ones, my heart is certainly with the people and prayer is sent up on their behalf.

It was just a line of thunderstorms when it passed us in SW MO at 6:30. We were without electricity for a few hours but no big deal.  The twisters didn't wind up until the line moved 50 miles or so east of us.

    Thanks for asking.

We were up for most of the night with tornado warning alarms going off. We lost power and at 3:00 this afternoon my husband called me at work to say the there was still no power and the house was freezing. I paid for a reservation at a local hotel and told my husband to go there and I would go home after work, get supplies and the dogs and meet him there.

He called me a few hours later and said he was heading home and would explain later. I got home to find power back in and no husband. We talked a few times and he told me he made a wrong turn. The hotel was 10 minutes from our house. It took him 90 minutes to get home. First time he really got lost.

On top of that, he paid for another room, forgetting I had already paid.

Oh well, we are now back home, power is on, and I’ve installed Find My on my phone.

Elcy - I’m sorry last night and  today was so stressful for your husband, and then for you.

Anything that messes up the routine seems to really ramp up  their confusion.

Mom texted me several times today about her phone and no  internet.  Luckily the AL has a generator so they had power

Between my accident, Dads covid( he’s fine  so far)  and being isolated to their rooms…

I’m glad your power is back on and you can both rest
