All I want for Christmas...

...is to clone myself.  That way one of me can stay home and be the 24/7 caregiver, and the other me can leave the house and run errands, grocery shop, go to the salon, take care of medical appointments, see friends, and you know .. have an actual social life!  Oh well, I guess one can always dream.

Remember "The Stepford Wives"?  If you could get a robot that looks like you and does all the work, but omit the part about murdering the original, that would be perfect.

Stepford Wives - I like it.  And fitting too as I'm sure I'm looking a bit zombie-like today.  It's been a long day of pee adventures.   Five changes of underwear and clothing in 2 hours.  He'd call me in for help with the urinal, and we'd both wait and wait, and nothing would happen.  But I leave the room and all of the sudden its like the Trevi Fountain in there, spurts and jets everywhere!  Exhausting.

Yes - a clone of me!  That would be such a fantastic gift.  I'd forgotten about the Stepford Wives (but I remember it now!), so I was thinking more along the lines of the Buffy-bot on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  The Buffy-bot = a Stepford Wife, only with better outfits.

Ah; I remember the movie with Maureen Stapleton, "The Electric Grandmother."  The family went to a robot business and chose a robot that looked and acted just like a human; couldn't tell the difference.  They picked the grandmother robot played by Stapleton.  She was wonderful and did EVERYTHING and NEVER tired  . . .  it was a good story and oh boy; how I wish . . .
