Heading towards the end of this disease
My 63 year old husband has been bedridden for the past 13 days. He is under hospice care at our home. We are keeping him as comfortable as possible. It's very, very sad to see him this way. I could see this stage coming for a few months. He would want to go to bed earlier and lay in bed longer. He took a shower every day cooperatively in November and I thought this is quite unusual. He would eat less and now hasn't eaten in 6 days. We try to keep him hydrated using droppers because he is unable to use a straw.
It's heart-breaking to see him go through this process.
