Bible Verse to Lift You Up 12/24/21
Peace comes when we give our scary & sad thoughts to God, and do not take them back.
When we can't do a thing for ourselves call
"Help Jesus!"
He gives us
perfect answers.
We do not have to worry when we don't know what to pray. God knows what we need.
A merry Christmas day is not necessary. We can have a quiet, peaceful day & thank God for His Son.
Cut yourself some slack. Sometimes you gotta opt out of the expected & just rest.
If Christ is in your heart, Christ will be your Christmas.
Do not worry. Do not rush. Trust the Lord to guide & help. Rest a few seconds here & there.
Sometimes we are sad, angry & scared. It's called being human.
When all seems lost, have faith. The Lord walks with us, holding us up so we are not defeated.
HAVE A PEACEFUL CHRISTMAS!

VKB, such wonderful words you always share. Thank you and God's blessings to you!
We had a Christmas like you are talking about. It was not rushed or chaotic; watched several services from your church online; asked the kids, grandkids and great grands to spread out their visit to not overwhelm Grandpa; put no tree up but received several floral arrangements and we both enjoyed them; didn't send out Christmas cards but did make several calls and facetime get togethers. So all in all we had time for Jesus and just enjoyed the wonderful Advent season of the coming of our Lord.
Blessings!

Christmas last year was a bummer, for sure. Barbara had passed just 5 days earlier , and it was difficult to muster up much enthusiasm right at that time.
This year, things were a little different. I realized ( with joy ! ) that Barbara was right there - at the big birthday party - celebrating with Jesus ! What could be better ?
As I get ready to see my 69th birthday arrive tomorrow, I will miss the pleasure of having Barbara here with me in the flesh, but I rejoice in the absolute certainty that our Lord picked the right time to carry her in His arms to her new and best home.
Thanks, sis, for all your words of encouragement.
