DH asked: “Do I have Alzheimer’s?”

DH saw me reading Chicken Soup for the Soul LivingWith Alzheimer’s & Other Dementias. 

He was watching TV and I didn’t think he was paying any attention to me. And then he asked, “Do I have Alzheimer’s?” I replied,  “Your doctor thinks so.” He then asked, “What do you think?” I replied “I don’t know, what do you think?” (What a coward I am.)

He then said “I think I’m doing better, I recall things later that I’ve forgotten”. I then said to him, I think you are doing better too.” End of conversation. We had a dish of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I think you handled it well...especially the ice cream part!
