Locked up again And piddle dee dee

The residents of our condo (fully vaxed and boosted) enjoyed Christmas at our various families homes. A number of us have ended up with colds including DH and I. So now we are again in lockdown mode, all activities cancelled, no visiting in each other’s units, no housecleaning, no confirmed Covid cases,  no dunkin doughnuts on Saturday, so what else is new? I’m enjoying watching the birds at my bird feeder. Ah, to be as free as they are!

On a lighter note: DH was apologizing for the expense of Depends. I responded “Oh piddle dee dee, it’s for the shits you see”. He just stared at me because I don’t normally talk like that. I enjoyed a big laugh—-first of the day. Oh dear, being quarantined is really getting to me and it is just the 2nd day. Now where did I put that new puzzle?

Stay safe and healthy.

I'm with you whyzit.  This next month or two is likely to be very bad (see Mike Osterholm/Zeke Emanuel in today's Washington Post).  Makes me appreciate our isolated farm as a good place to hunker down.  My 5 yo granddaughter is going nuts though--can't have friends over, clearly stressed by the isolation and so are her parents.  She's vaxed; I'm going to go bring her out by herself one day next week so she can feed the ducks and chickens, run around down at the creek even if it's cold outside.  Ride the tractor.  A little one on one grandparent time before she has to go back to school and get exposed all over again, I may not be able to see her for quite some time after that, I expect she'll inevitably bring covid home to her family in this next six weeks.  So we're both looking forward to it (Tuesday is planned), and so is my partner, wanted to know how she could help (bless her, not much she can do).

Day at a time, right?  I keep trying to remember that, and to remember LT's lessons on gratitude.  Today is okay.  That's all I can take care of.

I laughed out loud at this. My hubby got into the Christmas chocolate so an emergency shower was required, he just laughs when I wash his bum. In a way I would love to be as carefree as he is. I am sorry about yet another lockdown, it really is becoming a pain in the a**. Oh well thanks for the laugh.

Go for it, Whyzit!  Better to laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

I gave my DW some Ensure to boost her energy and gain weight. An hour later I was giving her a shower and you would have thought Mount Etna had erupted. It was a major mess (DW and shower). It was the first time we discovered she was lactose intolerant (she had never been before). By the time I finished cleaning, she was not even aware that it happened.
