Naps and Confusion when waking

My 86 yr old father is in the middle stages of Alzheimers and had a brain bleed several weeks ago.  We have noticed this week that when he wakes up from his nap (usually from noon to 1 pm) that he is confused and hallucinating (maybe from a dream he had)?  Should we stop the naps? He sleeps very well at night for 10 hours. Has anyone experienced this and has anything helped?

Thank you

    Hi BartinT -Welcome to 'here'...

Do the naps seem to be helping him?  other than the waking to the confusion?  Does his primDoc know what is happening?  if not, I would let doc know.  Sorry, wish i had more for you.
