“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”

 

me:  Let's remember God’s love and kindness is perfect, without flaw toward each one of us.  We can’t begin to understand just how amazing it is.  Let’s pray for the ability to emulate Christ Jesus, our God and Savior, obeying Him by loving others as He loves us.

 

Remember, this kind of love is not necessarily a warm, fuzzy feeling toward someone.  It might require a difficult decision on our part, constant prayer and our continued cooperation with the Holy Spirit enabling us to love like Jesus.

 

When we decide, to be loving and kind toward someone, what actions might we choose to take for them?  Your comments are always a joy to read.

I try to remember that all too often, when we speak of love, we are using our own flawed definitions of that word.

When God speaks of love, He uses His definition, which we have trouble with, because our thoughts are not His thoughts.
