Monthly episodes

My name is Pam and I am the caregiver for my 85 yo husband with dementia.  Every month, approximately the same time, my husband has these episodes when he becomes totally incoherent for approx 3 days  each day is less and he eventually returns to “his” normal.  At bed time while watching TV, he insists that all the channels are saying the same thing - to the point of obsession.  I find this very scary, in that I don’t know what eventually might happen during these times.  I do have some relief occasionally to get my hair/nails done.  One would think I would get used to them,  I don’t and it’s very depressing.  I wonder if anyone else goes thru these types of episodes.  Many thanks.

A Facebook dementia group I’m in often mentions the full moon as a trigger for episodes.  Can you look into that as being appropriate for his issues?
