Update: He wet himself for the first time.

DH saw his PCP yesterday and he thinks he probably had a TIA.

The Dr. listed about five different tests that he could do but said he

didn't want to do a "full court press" unless we were committed to

having surgery if necessary.  We settled on just doing an MRI.  That

will be done next Tuesday.  DH does not remember anything that happened

and didn't think he needed to see the Dr.  It makes it hard when I'm telling

the Dr. one thing and DH is shaking his head and saying it didn't happen.

The MRI may not show anything but I think it needs to be done.

Thank you for the update. I’m glad you’re getting answers.

I bet doctors are very used to a spouse like you telling one story and a patient like your DH telling another. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel just awful. Sounds like a day to treat yourself to something chocolate.

Hello White Crane; thank you very much for your update.   I have certainly been thinking of you.   The MRI will give a good picture of what happened with that incident and also perhaps be able to give a picture of other changes.   I think it was a good idea to move forward with the MRI.  Perhaps if it is positive, medication will be adjusted to assist in preventing another event as much as possible.

Do let us know, you are a very dedicated carer and advocate for your husband; he is blessed to have you by his side.

    J.

I didn't see your original post. Were you present when the incontinence occurred? Seizures can result in incontinence.

Thank you for the update. I learn so much from what others experience. I also like your dr’s approach. I hope the MRI goes smoothly next week.
