Frustrated and Porn

I have a cold and a slight fever. I’ve been home all day since I wasn’t up to going to work. It’s not Covid. My husband just asked how long I planned on not going to work. I know he wants me out of the house so he can watch porn on the computer. He does not spend any money just scrolls around for about 30 seconds on a bunch of sites. So, even if I’m still feeling bad tomorrow, I’ll have to scram for a few hours. Arghh!

Please get tested for COVID. Especially if you plan on going out.0

I’ve tested 3 times. All negative.0

He is sick, with a disease that affects his brain. Why let him decide things like whether you “have to scram,” ?0

ElCy, is it somehow possible for you to keep him from getting on those sites? They are known for a high percentage of those sites to harbor viruses. You could unknowingly have one on your computer, and risk problems with your banking or your identity. Risky stuff.0

Have to agree with Ed on that one. Maybe you could change the wifi password and tell him there's a service outage? Or is he still too savvy for that?0

Totally agree with Ed and M1. You should not have to leave. It's your house too. Please be safe about scammers and viruses. Good luck!0

DW went through a phase when she was visiting porn sites on her IPad. I was able to set up “child protection” features in the setting of the device that prevented access to these sites. She never knew I made these changes and in time her interest in and ability to use the IPad declined.0

Oh my I have to agree to lock down the device he's using, it's probably FULL of malware and viruses.0

In addition to being hacked via malware, I would have a concern that he might visit/download material from a site that had child pornography which could lead to criminal charges.
At a certain point, computer access for a PWD is problematic. Would a day program be an option to occupy him while you work?0 -

Oh my, I forgot about that. And they don't care if you have dementia, it's arrest and criminal charges, then an expensive lawyer and plea bargain/trial and sentencing.

I put parental controls on my DH laptop months ago...he hates it, but I am relieved. The porn was getting more and more graphic and then he started ordering ED vitamins to the tune of $300 from the sites. Then he started signing up for dating websites....also on the porn sites. I started out with his computer set to a 17 yr old level, but he still found a way to get into way too much trouble so now it is set to 12yr old and you tube is blocked as well. He now spends his time perusing womens bra, panty and lingerie catalogues online. He complains, but I do not have to constantly walk in on him in the living room vigorously making himself happy. It was the best thing I have done for my own sanity.0
