A total win

Our front door was hanging off its hinges, I took one look at why, got a selection of my husband’s screwdrivers, some really long screws and proceeded to unscrew the top latch. My hubby was holding the door, while I sunk a huge screw into the frame, then I sunk the other screw into the bottom of the latch.
The door now shuts beautifully and my husband is totally gobsmacked at my ability. I am woman, hear me roar.
I took my newfound resolve to the grocery store and got the really rude checkout clerk. I told her she was rude and went to another cashier. I know the cashiers are fed up with Covid, aren’t we all? However, I have always been very polite, so not going to take anymore guff.

Isn’t it a great feeling to get something done like that.

Good for you! It really feels good when something you're not used to doing comes out good. My problem has always been in the kitchen. But I'm learning.

    Yay for you!

I'm so much handier around the house than I was before. My list of home repairs has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years. For me, after I got over my initial frustrations, it's been really positive growth.

    Yay you!

If nothing else, dementia has caused me to learn a number of new skills too.
