VA caregiver funding
NPR was talking today about a new VA program(or a change in policy) that will pay an in home
caregiver(like a spouse). You must apply for it + it specifically mentioned that ALZ could be covered even though the ‘disability’ was not service related.
It sounded like it could be worth looking into for LOs who need ADLs and are at home

Thanks again for the tip. Found the interview. https://www.npr.org/2022/01/18/1073732623/va-revamps-caregivers-program-those-who-already-qualified-must-reapply I hope those who are having to reapply, get approved. Their service-related injuries and needs sound heartbreaking too.
Timely topic. Here is a recent thread from the Spouse’s forum. And I am on a mission, so....more to come.
