I thought this was sightly humorous. This morning, I was sitting at the computer when I turned around and saw Colleen sitting on the bed. We had the following conversation, starting with her.
Who are you?
Who am I? Who are you?
I’m me.
My name is Ron. Does Me have a name?
My name is Me.
Your name is Colleen.
Oh.
You and I have been married for 45 years.
That’s nice.

I’ve had similar conversations with my husband. He tells me he wants to call his mother and asks me if I remember her phone number. When I explain why we cannot call her, that she’s been gone for over 25 years, he simply replies, «Oh» or «OK.» The same happens when he asks about his brother. He’s so casual and blasé with his response that it’s disconcerting to me.0
