Congratulating ourselves

Comrade

Last night was horrific for my DW. She had diarrhea and managed to spread it on herself and bed. The Depends held 95% which is a miracle of modern science, as they used to say.

The congratulations are to myself for helping her in the most respectful way possible. I stripped her bed and put everything in the washer. Then, I cleaned and gave her a dry, clean portion of the bed to lie.

I have never had to do this before so what did I do? I watched YouTube and a video on cleaning a person safely. 

It worked and am continually amazed at what we can do for our loved ones. Even DW understood that I was going to extraordinary measures to insure her comfort and thanked me.

Congratulations to all of us for doing what is necessary and to give ourselves a lot of self-love.
