I finally got something done
It's been months since I've done anything that didn't really have to be done. I painted the walls in the bathroom. It's a rather small bathroom, but that filled my day with everything else we all have to do. And I went to the big box store to get the items needed to run a new outlet, which had to be done "on the wall" instead of going through the walls which are not accessible because we have no way to run wiring from the very tight attic space, and we have a home on a slab.
Our son who lives out of state came into town yesterday, and it was perfect timing. He is a licensed electrician, and he works with "brick mold" quite often, which is what I needed. He said he'd just handle it for me since he could do the job in less than 1/2 the time it would take me. And he could stick with the job until it was done. GREAT! We now have a bidet that is in working order. I just have to set up the remote, and make sure the water is not too hot or too cold.

How wonderful...something "fell into place"!0

Wow, that sounds you got more than a little something done!
I've painted bathrooms - that's not a little job no matter how small the space.
I started painting our pantry 10 months ago. I'm still not finished.

I love the wins. This one should be especially refreshing!0

Feels good doesn't it Ed? Every little bit helps! You probably have just about every profession covered among those kids of yours....0

Great, no that feels good0

I was just thinking about the brick mold I need to paint when the weather warms up, and I wondered if I wrote "brick mold" in my post above. Yep, I did. It should have said "wire mold". Totally different. I have painting on the mind.
M1, not all professions are covered, but we have a lot of bases covered. Might not always be from pros, but collectively, we can do a lot of stuff. It's funny that having all those kids is now paying off.
The next step is talking her into using the bidet.

Sounds like a big win to me! It’s not only being busy constantly waiting on a LO, but much of the time is spent just having to watch them so they don’t do anything dangerous or wander off. Some days I feel like I’m slogging through molasses when I do have a little free time.0

Glad that's done for you - one more thing off the list. Seems like my list gets longer - I take off one thing and put on two.0

What a wonderful time your son chose to visit. Hope all works out really well to the best of your hopeful expectations.

Nice, Ed! I love it when the “boys” show up. Always something to fix.0

Way to go Ed, good that you got some projects done but also that you had the distraction from caregiving and hopefully a feeling of accomplishment.0
