My brother died

Crushed

My brother who I was fighting for died yesterday in the hospital

His heart just gave out.  He had been declared fit for discharge to Rehab.  

At least I spared his widow the feeling that he had gotten less than full care.

I’m sorry for your loss.  His widow can be comforted by your work on his behalf.  Who knows what location he would hand  been when it happened otherwise/ she would have been left to wonder what might have been.

This is heartbreaking. I am so sorry you are going through this.

  I lost my brother in 2010 and I still miss him.He died a few weeks before DH went into a coma from encephalitis, so I did not really have time to grieve.

  I have a little antique table in my bedroom with an old picture of my brother in a silver frame at the beach with his dog. It is my favorite picture of him.He looks so carefree and young and beautiful and alive.Beside the photo is a tiny book of poems of the sea and a tiny silver bird statue.

  I look at him every day and say hello. I hope you can find some comfort and peace while you feel the profound loss of your beloved brother, and that one day his memory will make you smile again.

Crushed, I add my sympathies to everyone else's on your loss. At least you have the consolation of knowing you did everything you could for your brother and your SIL But another major loss on top of what you're already dealing with is awful.
