If you could...

DH was accepted into hospicare on Thursday, March 10th.  This morning I was sitting quietly next to him and the tv was on low in the background.  Suddenly on the tv I heard, "If you could live just one day over again what day would that be?"  So, I thought.  It was a little while later that I realized that I couldn't pick.  How lucky am I!

That’s the question for Emily Webb in Thornton Wilders play Our Town. She says Oh world, you are too wonderful for anyone to realize you. She’s right!

    I hope hospice helps.

I would pick the day my mom & I discovered my mare had had a beautiful stud foal with a bald face and white mane and tail! We laughed and cried together, so much joy! We were jumping up and down and dancing in a circle. I was 16 years old. We talked about that day many times over the years!

I would go back to the day that DH and I met our son. He's adopted, we were in a foreign country, and DS was 9 months old. We picked him up from an orphanage, then took him back to our hotel. I want to relive that day and take in more details than my overwhelmed brain took in at the time.
