DH has declined to pretty much word salad for the past month. I almost missed this.

As I was prompting him to get ready for bed, he turned to me and said (with absolute clarity), "First, I'm going to take a pee," then turns his back on me and says, "You can have all the other letters."

How about that?!

That’s a great response.  Made me smile.  Several years ago, on our 50th wedding anniversary, I asked DH if he recalled what he was doing 50 years ago on that day at noon.  At the time I asked, he was mired in gibberish and word salad and I didn’t expect a sensible answer, if any.  He gave me a puzzled look so I said , “You were waiting for me to walk down the aisle to marry you.”  He never skipped a beat and replied, “Lucky you!”

Thanks to all of you for celebrating with me. It was an unexpected gift when I was feeling low. Laughter is such good medicine.
