Wow I thought that was great. I guess I am a bit biased. Can you folks guess what organization George was speaking about when he said one organization did not join out of all of the organizations for dementia?

I hope you folks see what I see in this organization and I do hope this organization will become your choice for dementia as we could make so much more progress by giving it here. Just amazing in what was accomplished in 10 years. https://www.usagainstalzheimers.org/

Thankyou Mike. Good to know!0

Gratz, Michael! I'll have to wait to watch the whole thing, but did the first 15 minutes and didn't even have UsAgainstAlzhemer's on my radar. Learn something dementia every day, eh?
You look and sound great, sir, as you fight the fight.

Any guess on what organization did not join LEAD?

Nope. But I still haven't had time to watch the whole thing. Wanna toss out a spoiler answer?0

Lane Simonian was correct on another post. He said it was AA. Can you believe that out of ever dementia organization out there Alzheimers Association is the only one that does not want to work together as a team with over a hundred other organizations. I even tried speak with the top folks a few years ago including the CEO and they refused. What would any one support this organization? It sure makes you wonder why? Do they care about those with dementia or just themselves?

We get it - you hate AA. You want everyone to support your pet organization. Yet you come to AA's message board to complain about them and what they don't do. That doesn't even make sense.
Why don't you work on having your favorite organization set up a message board and work to make it as popular as this one? It's really just rude to come here and promote another organization.0 -
I never said I hate them but I expose them to let others make the right decision since most are clueless to what I know when it comes to the inside of all of these organizations. And for the record they do some good things. Unlike you, I talk about real facts not made up ones.

And for the record I do this because I want the money to flow where it will benefit us all the most. I would think everyone’s else would think that way.

Michael, I understand that you want money to flow where it benefit people. But "us all" for people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers is not the same as "us all" with whatever is causing the non-Alzheimer's dementia you experience. While some interests are aligned, our loved ones have terminal diagnoses and need different support from individuals with different diagnoses.0

I totally get what you are saying and it sounds you had good experience with them and that is good. Sadly, so many do not feel that way especially PWD. For the amount of money they take in we should all have better services. The problem is they refuse to change and that is the main issue. I know because I had tried along with others for 10 years. There is so much more I could say but I don’t want to share all of their failures.
But it should worry you that they are the only originaztion out of all of them who refuse to work for the same goal of eliminating dementia as a team. If folks don’t demand better then things will not change. It was a senator who asked the person to break away from AA and start that organization. One would wonder why he did that. And I heard that directly from the senator not third hand. He is one of the biggest supporters in the dementia arena. He was tired of seeing the same thing after 30 years with limited progress.
