Speaker for TV for hard of hearing

My mother was diagnosed with MCI in 2018. She is getting worse slowly but I can deal with most things. She is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. The issue is she will be moving in with me soon and she keeps her TV very loud. At night in bed, she takes out her hearing aids and the TV is on full blast. She leaves it on all night. The captions are on the TV as well but she gets a bit confused by that. I would like to know if anyone has used or heard of a speaker that can hook up to the TV but remain by her bedside. I tried one before but it was more for music than a TV and didn't work workout. Any thoughts?

You would need a TV that does Bluetooth. Many newer TVs/smart TVs have this feature nowadays (along with cell phones and many electronics. It means it can send the sound out to another device wirelessly.) Then you could purchase any bluetooth speaker and pair it wit the TV and all sound would be piped through the speaker. There are videos online of how to pair bluetooth devices if you aren't familiar. You can spend anywhere from $20 to hundreds on a bluetooth speaker. Given the idea is to understand dialogue I wouldn't go too cheap. I personally like the JBL brand.0

We did wireless headphones for dad that cost about $80.
I have these at home currently.
Amazon.com: Sennheiser RS120 II On-Ear Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle : Sennheiser: Electronics
They're very comfortable.

MN Chickadee -Thanks so much. When I tried the bluetooth speaker it worked but but not as well with the TV. I have a speaker hooked to my phone that I can carry throughout the house and its fine but when hooked up to the TV it didn't work as well. It kept losing connection. I was hoping maybe someone else had found one that worked well. That being said, it was a cheaper model so maybe I'll try again with something like a a Bose.0

Harshed -Thank you for the link. This could very well be another option. I didn't really think of headphones, not sure why but who knows. Anyway thanks again!0

I have seen reviews for TV headphones, including the Sennheiser linked above, and a few more https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-wireless-home-theater-headphones/
The reviews emphasize sound quality, battery, comfort, but not sure if some of them are hard to use for PWD and are hard of hearing. If the controls are hard to use, I am concerned they will go unused.
I have also seen advertisements for "TV ears" https://www.amazon.com/TV-Ears-Wireless-Clarifying-Recommended-11741/dp/B00E4JWRK4/?th=1 and not sure if anyone here has experience with any them for ease of use.
