In-person support groups

I’m a bit behind the curve on asking for help. My sister/housemate is getting worse every day, and I need someone to talk to about her condition. Are there in-person support groups in Austin?

You can call your local Alzheimer’s Association and ask about local support groups. Just Google “Alzheimer’s Association Austin”  for contact info and/or phone. AA runs many, and also usually keep lists of others they know about. A big city like Austin surely has several such groups to choose from.

In-person support groups have been going in a lot of places in the last few months, although I guess it can depend on each groups decision.

I found my mom's support group here. You can also phone around hospitals, senior centers and memory care facilities for local options.

The webpage says they're all virtual, but I know mom's meeting is IRL the last couple of months.
