Don't-Care-Caregivers
Phew, documentary filmmaking is running me ragged, but I gotta some time to write a couple of caregiver tales!
Don't-Care-Caregivers: What are the options when you feel like you're out of options?

What's the scoop, poop? I spill the dementia family caregiver beans on the RodgerThat podcast.

p.s. Uh, the film is looking pretty amazing! I'm hoping to have a trailer or first look vid done in the next couple of weeks to share online.

LICKETY !!!
i am in the "THICK" of CAREGIVING right now (the "THICKETY?!!!)...
anyway, a lot of your MOM STORIES are VERY MUCH like MY MOM's STUFF.. the BLANKET DELIVERIES, THE MIRROR LADY, etc...
anyway, i am not a PARTICULARLY EMOTIONAL PERSON... but i read one of your POSTS yesterday... something about "ERASING"... and it unleashed a TIDAL WAVE of TEARS and EMOTION (darn* you!)... as a NON-CRYER... i was CONFUSED and DISTRAUGHT... then i read another one of your POSTS... the one about your being confused by people who say "I AM GRIEVING THEM NOW"... and it TOTALLY RECALIBRATED ME !!! ha !!!!
what i am trying to say is THANK YOU...
i NEEDED both...
i APPRECIATE and RESPECT your TRANSPARENCY and ARTISTRY !!!
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR DOC !!!

Hey MattyBoy! I've been in a bit of Downer Town myself today and your message recalibrated me! So thank you very much.
I've come to the conclusion that while all dementia folks are going to have their variations in the disease, a lot of us caregivers are going to have the same ups and downs as we try to help our people navigate this journey. And for me, hearing others talk about the same thoughts and feelings that I have has been one of the few lifesavers on the trying trek! It sounds like our stories are giving you a bit of a lifeline, and that makes me happy... and got me off the couch to actually accomplish something today!
Keep sloggin' through the "thickety" - at Stumped Town Dementia headquarters we're rooting for 'ya!
