Monster in the Mind

I stumbled on this 1-hour documentary this weekend and wanted to share with you all. It's a former CNN reporter who is now in her 80s and has the APOE-e4 gene and wanted to know how likely she is to get the disease. It's informative, busts some myths that I certainly held about the genetics and avoidance of the disease, and funny at times as she uses her love of 50s b-movie horror flicks to help tell the story!

Anyway, if you get a chance check it out on YouTube.

I'm not sure how embarrassed I should be that I've seen almost all of those movies.   Some more than once.

But yeah - I watched the documentary, and it was really informative.  Definitely learned a few things. There are several things I didn't know were risk factors but are, and many things that can mitigate those risks that I hadn't thought of.

One thing to be aware of, there's a lot of cutting up of brains, so if that bothers you, you might just listen to it instead of watching it.

Ha! Yeah, Gothic, I was telling myself during the brain parts "There's just props..."

I was surprised to find out that if you have the APOE-4 gene it's not a guarantee of dementia. I don't know when that bit of misinformation got stuck in my head, but that was an eye opener to find out it's not a given.

This was a new source of dementia media for me. I had not seen these Real Stories before. I also watched the one of the Scottish lady and her daughter helping her mom through dementia. I enjoyed their approach, and their use of expletives for just about every situation!

I want to watch it. I'll probably do it next weekend. I love documentaries in general. In order to watch even foreign films, after reading https://www.firesticktricks.com/best-free-vpn.html I connected a free vpn. Thank you so much for sharing this. I guess I'll watch it with my brother next weekend

I think it's a great movie. I like to watch movies in this format to be honest. I especially like watching YouTube videos. I contacted customer service through https://sprint.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html , where they helped me improve my Internet connection. Now I want to watch movies because I can do it with good internet haha
