Just when I think I can no longer be surprised or shocked any longer . . . . once again, I am.

Seems to me, in my thoughts:  avarice.

Cassava Sciences probably manipulated at least some of its biomarker data and they probably have the wrong mechanism of action (a variation of the amyloid hypothesis of Alzheimer's disease).  The big question, though, is whether they manipulated the cognitive test results.  If they did, Cassava Sciences is finished.  If not, they will be able to finish their phase 3 clinical trial (if they can get enough participants).

What always bothered me about this company, is that it kept touting its results as never seen before in the history of Alzheimer's disease.  If the cognitive figures are correct simufilam produces somewhat better than Aricept at one year, but that is about it.
